After breakfast, drive to Habarana (04 hours drive) en route visit Dambulla Cave Temple - Dating back to the 1st Century BC, this is the most impressive cave temple in Sri Lanka. The cave monastery, with its five sanctuaries, is the largest, best-preserved cave-temple complex in Sri Lanka. Inside the caves, the ceilings are painted with intricate patterns of religious images, following the contours of the rock. There are images of the Lord Buddha and bodhisattvas, as well as various gods and goddesses.
Afternoon (optional tour at additional cost) - Village Tour in Sigiriya - At the beginning, traveling by bullock cart through typical dry Zone village, then get on to traditional village boat for boat ride in the lake running through the village and get into their paddy fields & cultivation lands and experience how farmers work there and thereafter having Typical Sri Lankan village lunch serve with Banana or Nelum leaf inside of mud house and at last walking through the village to start point while experiencing the Village life. |

After breakfast, proceeds to Sigiriya (20 min) climb Sigiriya rock fortress - Sigiriya was the capital city, built by parricidal King Kasyapa who reigned from 477-495 AD. The ruins of the city lie on the steep slopes and at the summit of a granite peak standing approximately 370 m high. The rock was transformed into a recumbent lion, which dominates the jungle from all sides. A series of galleries and staircases emerging from the mouth of a gigantic lion constructed of bricks and plaster provide access to the site.
Spice Gardens Matale, which grows spices and herbs used for Sri Lankan cuisine and medication. Spices of Sri Lanka attracted the early sea-faring merchants who made the long voyages to purchase this precious merchandise. Thereafter reach to Kandy, visit Art and Crafts center and visit the The Holy Temple of the Tooth of the Buddha (01 hour spend). This temple is the most important one for the Sri Lankan Buddhists, which was built in the 16th Century A.D. solely for the purpose of housing the tooth relic. |

After breakfast, leave for Nuwara Eliya (02 hours) en route visit Gem Museum in Kandy view a documentary film too on how Sri Lankan Gem mining is traditionally done. Sri Lanka is world renowned for its precious & semi-precious Gems, especially the Sri Lankan Blue Sapphire. It is very unique & owns a huge reputation in the world. Clients can also visit a Gemological Museum, a gem cutting factory & watch a documentary on Gem mining & the process.
Later, you can do shopping. Visit a Tea Factory & Ramboda Falls - Sri Lanka is world famous for Ceylon Tea. Clients will be shown a tea plantation & a factory. You will be able to watch the processing of Tea and also taste a cup of nice & hot Ceylon Tea. You can buy different tea products from the Tea shop. Ramboda is a breathtaking natural beauty. There are two prominent waterfalls next to each other. Clients can take pictures & enjoy the view from a view deck.
Lunch at Ramboda restaurant (Tea bush Hotel) reach to Nuwara Eliya - Nuwara Eliya is located at the heart of the hill country 6,182 feet above from the sea level. The town is situated at 74 km away along Kandy-Nuwara Eliya road and this was rediscovered by British in 1827. It is still very much like an old English town with styled Bungalows and buildings. The cool calm climate, gorges rolling tea plantation which makes the best ’Ceylon tea’ and the breathtaking beautiful waterfalls makes Nuwara Eliya one of the most beautiful town in the world. |

After breakfast, leave for Hikkaduwa - Bentota (05 - 06 hours drive) en route visit Slit Fishing in Weligama or Habaraduwa. Stilt Fishing is one of the most iconic scenes in Sri Lanka. It is a very unique traditional way of fishing for Sri Lankan Stilt Fishing community. The fisherman spends hours sitting on a thin plank waiting for a good catch.
Thereafter reach to Galle sightseeing in Galle city - an ancient city is now a modern and buzzing town though the Dutch fortress remains as it was during the Dutch period. Galle was the most important sea port at the crossroads of Far East & Middle East since the days of the Romans. The Fortress is one of the best preserved in the Island (Lunch at Galle restaurant) Habaraduwa Turtle farm was created to protect this endangered species. The eggs are collected and immediately buried in a sandy compound that offers protection from birds, crabs, and humans, thanks to some netting. There are 8 varieties of turtle in the world, five of which can be found here: parrot, green, loggerhead, crocodile, and leatherback. All turtles lay 105 eggs six times a year and the incubation period lasts 48 days.
